    The iQ2 Flex point is our stiffest flex option. This flex point is designed for those step-down shooters who benefit from a stiffer shaft to help transfer their own energy through the entire stick when passing and shooting.

DRAGONFLY 30" ATTACK/MIDFIELD

The Dragonfly 30″ Attack/Midfield is designed shaft for the highest-level athletes. It offers an impressive combination of technologies, like Intelligence Weave and HD Resin, with numerous Flex iQ options that work together to maximize your performance in the midfield and on offense.

Power – Flex iQ2: You’re mainly a step-down shooter who benefits from a stiffer shaft to help transfer energy while passing or shooting.

Flex iQ4xl (C30 only): You’re a versatility player who needs extra mass when playing both offense and defense. You can play defense, shoot on the run or stand and rip a step-down shot.

Dynamic – Flex iQ5: If you’re a player who roams the field and can shoot on the run or stand and rip in a step-down shot.

INTELLIGENT WEAVE

Static Zone:
Our proprietary 12K Intelligent Weave Technology is designed to stabilize the hands and push energy towards the head of the stick when passing or shooting.  It allows for a more uniform construction of the shaft as the carbon filaments in each tow (row) are spread out to create a thinner woven fabric by reducing crimp for increased weight reduction while providing optimal mechanical performance and minimal voids in the layup.

UNIFORM RELEASE

Active / Responsive Zone:
Uniform Release provides a consistent flex profile throughout the top 2/3 of the shaft regardless of a player’s hand positioning. Our engineers agree this is substantially beneficial over a localized “kick point” or flex point, because unlike golf or hockey a player’s hands are always moving depending on the player’s position on the field.

  • FLEX iQ TECH

    We achieve flex by manipulating the orientation of the carbon fiber. Our shaft’s bend when you need it to, but retains its firmness for maximum control.     HD Resin optimizes the mechanical strength properties especially in impact resistance. HD Resin improves the overall shaft but also adds direct benefits to each of Epoch’s Technologies, giving you, the player, a better shaft and increased performance for your game.

  • SURFACE VEIL TECH

    Surface Veil Technology (S.V.T.) gives another layer of added protection and is a layer of very thin fabric that is used in the military and aerospace manufacturing, wrapped on the outside of the carbon. When the S.V.T goes through the manufacturing process, it is heated to become part of the carbon fiber layup, which boosts toughness on the field.

    Our Advanced Carbon Layering (A.C.L.) is engineered for the best of the best. A.C.L. uses advanced materials and layers low F.A.W., uni-directional carbon fiber pre-preg in a specific manner we can control several aspects of the shaft’s performance, including flex, durability, weight and release point.

  • FIBER AREAL WEIGHT

    The Dragonfly utilizes unidirectional carbon fiber pre-preg with a lower Fiber Areal Weight (F.A.W.) than conventional shafts. These smaller, lighter fibers allow for a tighter orientation of the carbon fiber. More fibers equals increased durability.

  • TORQUE BOX TECH

  • RELOAD TECH

    When passing or shooting, a load is introduced to the shaft causing it to flex back, which causes the carbon fibers to be stretched along the front of the shaft and compressed along the back. Reload Technology takes advantage of this situation by using low F.A.W. (Fiber Areal Weight) and high-modulus carbon fiber, which creates urgency for the fibers to return to their natural position for maximum recoil.
